Client terms
How every project runs, in plain language.
These are the terms every Layerstop project runs on. Each project also gets a written agreement before any money moves; if the two ever differ, the signed agreement wins.
Payment
- 50% to start, 50% at launch (or on delivery for design-only work). Invoices in USD, GBP, EUR or INR.
- Monthly services such as Season Care are billed monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.
Ownership
Once paid, you own the design files, code, content and domain. Layerstop may show the work in its portfolio unless you ask it not to.
Photos and content you supply
- You confirm you hold the rights to every photo, logo and piece of content you send. Team and photographer images usually need a licence; get it in writing before sending them.
- If a rights holder objects to anything on the site, it comes down while it's resolved.
Approval
- Nothing goes live without your written approval. For drivers under 18, approval comes from a parent or guardian.
- Copy that names sponsors, results or other people is checked against a source before launch. Layerstop won't claim sponsorships or results that didn't happen.
Takedown on request
Ask for any page, photo or mention to be removed and it's removed, including from Layerstop's own portfolio and from any concept work.
Analytics and tracking on client sites
If you ask for analytics or company-visit tracking on your site, Layerstop acts as your data processor: it processes that data only on your instructions, keeps it confidential, and deletes or hands it back when the engagement ends. Your site's privacy policy must disclose it, and Layerstop will draft that disclosure with you.
Concept work
Layerstop sometimes publishes uncommissioned concept sites to show an idea. The rules:
- Adult drivers only, never a minor.
- Clearly labelled "Concept, not commissioned", with no implied endorsement.
- Photos only with a licence, or Layerstop's own renders.
- Taken down on request, no questions asked.
Timeline and the day-3 kill switch
Sprint projects run 14 days from receiving your content. If, by day 3, you don't like the direction, you can stop and get your full deposit back. If a delay is Layerstop's fault, the extra days cost you nothing.
